Elizabeth Taylor and her 7th husband Larry Fortensky

Liza Minnelli’s maid of honour, Elizabeth Taylor had her own wacky wedding when she tied the knot with her 7th husband, builder Larry Fortensky on 6th October 1991. To begin with, the wedding took place at Neverland Ranch of Michael Jackson and the king of pop walked the bride down the aisle.

Fortensky’s best man was Taylor’s hairdresser Jose Eber. According to Forbes, the wedding cost about £1 million and the guests included Minnelli, Nancy Reagan and Eddie Murphy. The ceremony took place outdoors making it a perfect magnet for an army of paparazzi. Unfortunately though, the marriage lasted only 5 years and the couple were divorced in 1996.

t was Taylor’s eighth wedding (and her seventh husband–she married Richard Burton twice). The wacky event was held at Michael Jackson’s 2,700-acre Neverland Ranch. Jackson gave away the bride, who wore a pale yellow gown by Valentino. Fortensky’s best man was Liz’s hairdresser, Jose Eber. Among the 150 guests were Liza Minnelli, Eddie Murphy and former first lady Nancy Reagan. All strained to hear the nuptials as a beehive of paparazzi helicopters swarmed overhead.
