Avoiding the thousands-strong media pack, the couple quickly took their solemn vows before exchanging rings in front of family and mates on Friday night.

A lot of guests arrived at Skibo Castle in Dornoch, Scotland, in the evening, covering their faces. Brad Pitt, Bryan Adams, George Clooney and Elton John were all reportedly invited to join the ceremony, but some reports stated that Pitt and John were not able to attend due to scheduling clashes.

The wedding of the Queen of Pop Madonna and the British director Guy has been reported on a daily basis up to the actual nuptials, but professional strategic planning had helped ensure that Madonna would keep her biggest day private.

Security checks surrounding the castle were so tight that it was literally impenetrable. Bodyguards protecting the party brought in heat-detecting equipment to help hunt down intruders on the huge grounds of the famous Highlands castle.

A couple of uninvited guests caught hiding in nearby thirteenth century Dornoch Cathedral had been arrested and later released with court dates. The unnamed intruders were not members of the media, according to local police.

Madonna ordered strict private security for her big wedding day rather than turn over the unreliable arrangements to local police. The Rev. Brown also presided over the baptism of Rocco on Thursday.
