Eddie Murphy and his former wife Nicole Mitchell had a very long (by Hollywood standards) marriage, 12 years.

The wedding of Eddie and Tracey on 1st January 2008 at a private small island off Bora Bora was not quite a legal wedding.

The wedding which took place in Bora Bora was just a ceremony to bind Eddie and Tracey spiritually in the warm presence of family and mates. The couple had planned a legal ceremony upon their return to the States.

On 5th October 2004, Tiger Woods married his long time lover Elin Nordegren.

The wedding ceremony itself was rather simple even though the rest of the preparations were expensive and elaborate. Over 500 roses were imported from Europe for the wedding.

The Welsh dragon brightly fluttered alongside the Hollywood couple and stripes above the main hotel entrance with the wedding feast featuring traditional Welsh lamb.

Michael’s best man was his 21 year old son Cameron. Also witnessing the ceremony was the couple’s 3 month old son who predictably spent most of the event asleep.

Actress Salma Hayek will get married with the French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault in French next spring.

Salma is reported to spend $3.5m on the wedding included a wedding dress at $500.000, wedding flowers for $1.000.000, seven-tier wedding cake at $100.000.

The guests will have a luxury treatment and will arrive in private jets to a chateau near St. Tropez.

Elton John and David Furnish partnered in 1993 and later got married in 2005. Hundreds of fans lined the streets in Windsor at their wedding.

The wedding of Sir Elton and Mr Furnish attracted hundreds of fans and onlookers to the streets of Windsor.

A cold and wet winter morning failed to dampen the spirits of the handful of fans who turned up early to bag the best positions.

At first the banks of press, photographers and police outnumbered well-wishers, but soon they were matched by the swelling numbers of fans and curious Christmas shoppers.

After all, Sir Elton and Mr Furnish were the second-biggest draw to the Guildhall this year after Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles married at the same venue in April.

As crowds grew impatient for the couple to arrive, even those passing the scene got into the spirit.

Bus passengers travelling between the throng of press photographers and cameramen looked on bemused, or waved regally at the crowds.

One couple soaked up the cheers when they passed along Windsor High Street on a motorised leopard-skin sofa.

It helped keep the crowd in good spirits as police kept a keen, but friendly, eye on them.

The excitement grew as the clock ticked towards 11 o’clock. White lilies had been delivered earlier in the morning and speculation about what the notoriously flamboyant Sir Elton would be wearing was rife.

Guests also included the couple’s dog Arthur, escorted by artist Sam Taylor-Wood and her art dealer husband Jay Jopling.
