Victoria and David happily married on July 4th in 99 before all the drama began

With only 30 or so family members and friends at their wedding ceremony, David and Victoria tied the knot on 4th July 1999 at the 600 acre estate of the 1794 Gothic Luttrellstown Castle, outside Dublin, Ireland. The ceremony was presided over by the arch Bishop of Cork, Paul Colton. David was 24 and Victoria was 25 at the time of their wedding

The couple had an expensive and elaborate wedding reception with nearly 500 staff serving. All guests were asked to dress smartly in black or white.

The menu was huge and included Laurent Perrier chamgane as well as sticky toffee pudding. Their equally impressive cake was topped with a nude sculpture of the newlyweds.

The wedding reception was mesmerising and featured a 18-piece orchestra. Guests were also able to dance later on. The reception ended with a memorable fireworks display.

The couple didn’t want any presents. Instead, shopping vouchers were preferred.

With Manchester United teammate Gary Neville as their best man, their four-month old son Brooklyn took the role of their ring bearer. David and Victoria sat on golden thrones with their young son’s crib at their side.

Victoria’s sister Louise was the bridesmaid and her daughter Liberty and David’s niece Georgia were both dressed as little angels and served as lovely flower girls.

As they became husband and wife, a pair of doves were released as a symbol of their love. Victoria stuck to her principles and refused to pledge her obey to the then Man Utd star. The Beckham couple both then shed tears after exchanging vows.
